The County Auditor in Wilkin County is an elected official. The Auditor prepares agendas for Board of Commissioners' meetings, is secretary to County Board, prepares and keeps records of minutes of all County Board meetings.
The Auditor assists with annual budget, liaison functions, property, casualty, liability and Workers compensation insurance for county plus other administrative functions assigned by Board of Commissioners.
The Auditor is the general accounting officer of the county and issues all checks covering phases of county government, keeps account of county funds and prepares annual financial statement.
The Auditor manages delinquent taxes and tax forfeited lands, is agent for fish and game licenses and chief election officer for the county. Also, responsible for efficient operation of computer equipment and systems involved in performing work of county government.
The Auditor is in direct control of all county payroll and personnel records, real and personal property tax calculations, preparation of tax rolls and statements, and distribution of taxes collected to proper governmental units.
